OK, that subject line was a bit overdramatic.
But, I had a great comment in response to yesterday's email . . .
A Coda Magic Daily reader emailed me that they used ChatGPT to build a formula and it gave them an "excellent but non-existent formula command – complete with examples and documentation."
This is going to happen with AI.
Troy's Confidence Theorem: Confidence in being correct is directly proportional to the lack of emotional consequences for being wrong.
That's the problem. AI feels no repercussions for being wrong.
Even with the BEST chatbots, even with ChatGPT v10, even with quantum computing . . . we need to trust, but verify.
There's already a Coda custom GPT for OpenAI, but unfortunately, I don't know how it works.
Custom GPTs are a closed system, so I can't see the instructions. It may work great--I don't know without seeing how it was built.
This is currently why I'm working on my own super-secret custom Chatbot for Coda, but it's not quite ready yet, but it's going to be awesome.
